About Heather Cottage Cottage rental includes
Recently refurbished and modernised to offer very comfortable accommodation in the heart of the Spey Valley, Heather Cottage is one of two cottages which date from 1820, retaining all of their charm and character. Set in the peaceful Spey Valley on the roadside, with the Monadhliath Mountains as a backdrop and with beautiful views across the River Spey from the front of the cottages, they are ideally situated for a walking or cycling holiday. Decorated and furnished to offer a comfortable retreat to return to after a day exploring this lovely region at any time of the year. Within a short drive, the villages and towns of Glentruim, Newtonmore, Kingussie, Aviemore are easliy accessible with a local shop in Laggan, a short walk away. Good restaurants and several pubs are close by if you prefer to dine out. A mini haven for bird watchers, you may catch sight of an eagle floating over the valley, and lots of river and marsh birds can be spotted from the windows. Recognised as one of the most popular walking areas of the Central Highlands, the scenery alone keeps people returning throughout the year.
