About Millburn Cottage
Cottage rental includes
In an idyllic peaceful location with magnificent views across open fields and woodland this single storey detached cottage dating back to 1900 was part of the old sawmill of the Darnaway Estate. Sympathetically restored and decorated and furnished to a very high standard with a lovely log fire for those cooler evenings. Set in beautiful countryside and only a few minutes from Brodie Castle this is an ideal 'get away from it all' retreat for exploring the beauties and delights of this picturesque area of Scotland. Wildlife is abundant and the Nature Reserve at Findhorn Bay, only an hours walk, will be of particular interest to ornithologists. Golfers are well catered for with nearby courses at Forres and Nairn, and fishing and horse riding are available locally. It is ideally situated for the 'Whisky & Castle Trails' and the Speyside Way is within easy reach. The Moray Coastline is renowned for its visiting dolphins, sandy beaches and sheltered bays with Culbin Forest and Sands 2 miles away. The town of Forres (2 miles) has shops, restaurants and pubs with Nairn and Elgin close by and the Highland Capital of Inverness only a ½ hour drive.
