This new byre conversion makes a cosy modern detached holiday home, perched above the River Spey, between Aberlour and Ballindalloch and with lovely views over to Ben Rinnes and the Cromdale Hills. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, The Old Byre is the perfect location for those interested in walking, climbing, fishing, bird watching, playing golf and cycling. The owners who live next door are happy to advise on more adventurous pursuits. The owner is also a qualified mountain bike instructor/guide and can provide courses and ride outs on request. Cosy at any time of the year with a wood burning stove, there are many attractions close by with a myriad of walks directly from your doorstep, including the famous Speyside Way. The Cairngorm National Park is only a short drive south, the sweeping sandy bays and rocky inlets of the Moray coastline to the north and the world famous Whisky Trail weaves its way right past the door. The pretty towns of Aberlour and Grantown on Spey have local shopping with Aviemore and Elgin to the south and north offering a wider variety. Numerous good eateries are only a short drive away.
